Love. Commitment. Family. These are values that New Mexicans hold dear. We stand by each other in good times and bad. In these tough economic times, family has never been so important, and nothing defines family more than love and commitment.
But in New Mexico, same-sex couples are treated differently—which means they can’t take care of and protect each other when times get tough.
And that’s just not fair.
All Families Matter is a public education campaign that helps raise the visibility of same-sex couples across our state. It’s about starting conversations, and sharing stories about how gay and lesbian couples and their families should be treated fairly—just like all families in New Mexico. All Families Matter is about opening hearts and minds throughout our state.
